Macedon bot – Terms of Service

1. Overview

Macedon bot ("the Bot", "we", "us") is a Discord bot that provides tools for messaging, event management, role management and related utilities for Discord servers ("Guilds"). By inviting the Bot to your server or using any of its features, you ("you", "Server Owner", "Administrator") agree to these Terms of Service.

2. Relationship with Discord

Macedon bot is not owned by or officially associated with Discord Inc. Your use of the Bot is in addition to, and does not replace, your obligations under the Discord Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. It is your responsibility to ensure that your usage of the Bot complies with Discord’s rules at all times.

3. Consent and Direct Messages

Some features of Macedon bot (such as DM broadcasts) allow you to send messages directly to server members.

• You must only use these features in a way that is compliant with applicable laws (including anti-spam laws) and Discord’s own policies.
• You are responsible for obtaining any necessary consent from your members before sending direct messages, announcements or promotional content via the Bot.
• We provide the technical tools only; we do not review or approve the content you send. You use these features at your own risk.

4. Plans and Limits

Macedon bot offers a free tier and optional paid tiers (e.g. Pro, Enterprise). Each tier may include usage limits (for example, number of DM broadcasts per week). These limits are enforced automatically by the Bot.

We may adjust plan features, limits and pricing in the future. Changes will not retroactively affect completed periods, but may apply to future renewals.

5. Payments and Manual Activation

Paid tiers are currently handled manually (for example via Ko-fi or other platforms). When you purchase a subscription:

• You are responsible for providing the correct Discord server ID for activation.
• We will manually activate your plan for that server for the agreed period (e.g. one month).
• If payment stops or the period expires, the server may be downgraded back to the free tier.

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion.

6. Data and Privacy

Macedon bot stores only the data needed to operate:

• Guild IDs, plan information and subscription dates.
• Feature usage counters (for enforcing limits).
• Technical logs required for debugging and security.

We do not sell your data. Logs and database entries may be kept for a reasonable period for security and troubleshooting purposes.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Macedon bot for:

• Harassment, hate speech or illegal content.
• Spam or unsolicited advertising, especially via DM broadcasts, without consent.
• Activities that violate Discord’s Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
• Attempting to exploit, damage, or reverse engineer the Bot.

We reserve the right to suspend or block the Bot from a server if we believe it is being misused.

8. Availability and Changes

We make a reasonable effort to keep Macedon bot online and functional, but we do not guarantee 24/7 uptime. We may temporarily suspend the service for maintenance, updates or security reasons.

We may modify or discontinue features at any time. When possible, we will communicate major changes in advance.

9. Disclaimer of Warranty

Macedon bot is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. You use the Bot at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of Macedon bot, including but not limited to lost data, messages, or server reputation.
